Lester Quinones Named NBA G League Player of the Week

Golden State Warriors two-way guard Lester Quinones has been named the NBA G League Player of the Week for games played from March 13 to March 19, the NBA G League announced today. The award marks the second career weekly recognition for the Memphis product. 

Quinones posted 30.3 points per game on 45.6% from the field (26-of-57 FG) and 32.3% from 3-point range (10-of-31 3FG) to go with 8.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 31.0 minutes per game during Santa Cruz’s 3-0 week. The guard put up a season-high 46-point performance against Salt Lake City on March 15 while shooting 66.7% (12-of-18 FG) from the field. 

On the season, Quinones is averaging 21.5 points per game on 44.4% from the field, 34.3% from 3-point range and 79.3% from the free throw line, adding 7.1 rebounds and 4.8 assists in 32.1 minutes per game over 28 games (all starts).

The award marks the 18th time in franchise history a player has been named Player of the Week since the NBA G League began giving the award out in 2006. Quinones was the last to win the honor on February 28, 2023.
