The Lakers will be represented at All-Star 2023 in Utah by LeBron James, as the leading vote getter and thus captain of Team LeBron, as well as Scotty Pippen Jr., in the Rising Stars and NBA G League Next Man Up game.
LeBron was selected to his record-tying 19th All-Star game. With a 4-0 record as the All-Star GM, LeBron will this be making his selections at the NBA All-Star Draft right before the NBA All-Star game. The draft will be on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. PT on TNT, followed by the 72nd NBA All-Start Game at 5:30 p.m. PT on TNT.
Scotty Pippen Jr. will play in the Rising Stars game at 6 p.m. PT on Friday on TNT. The game will be a four-team mini-tournament where all three games will be played to a final target score. The four teams, comprised of 28 players with 21 NBA rookies and sophomores and seven NBA G League standouts, have honorary head coaches Pau Gasol, Joakim Noah, Jason Terry, and Deron Williams. Pippen Jr. is on Team Jason.
